Cigarette burn scar on hand plz answer!?

Hi, when i was 15, 3 years ago a so called friend put out a cig on my hand... infact i have 2 burn scars. My question is will the cig burns fade away after years if yes how long does it take? It's been 3 years already... I'm really ashamed for those scars they totally make no sence at all.
